I am going to be conducting professional research into politics, spirituality, the environment & how this influences our mental & physical health.
There has been over recent decades a very unhealthy decline of the value of our human existence, mind, body & spirit. Unhelpful pigeonholing has lead to governmental decisions in the public health & education sector being made without substantial evidence. Also an adverse hostility towards those with certain mental health conditions & an overt enquiry being made into unnecessary blacklisting, granted as guilty before proven innocent. Unhelpful patterns have emerged & need challenging.
As someone who has been on both sides of the public health & education sector, I believe my insights, together with the professionalism & expertise you may offer in your field could uncover some important discoveries, that could bring a greater sense of community, tolerance & awareness.
The outcome of this project is to build my professional profile on LinkedIn & contribute to businesses & directors by modelling creative proactive ideas in problem solving, & risk taking. Also, taking control of your finances & time, with useful tips for the demands set by this current global meltdown.
I have been fortunate enough to have access to public services here in the UK, & also to have lived & worked in other countries, including Spain & Romania.
I am interested in how people think, whether we have a scientific, mathematical, linguistic or artistic approach to problems, what is the most logical & effective means of problem solving & how we can apply different approaches to different scenarios, or to simplify things further, find a match that fits all.
I did an interactive art exhibition at Leeds Library, Vision 2014 Inside Out. The most popular artefact was an open picture frame requiring people to place three pictures inside the frame, according to their preference. The pictures were abstract involving different colours, shapes, patterns & textures so there was no correct way to angle them. The conversations that ensued became intellectual prowess, as people felt compelled to justify their decisions to others & compare notes. There was no pressure, it wasn’t time bound & being a new idea sparked interest. Some looked at it from a purely scientific angle, others from an aesthetic angle & some from a pragmatic view point. All the participants were ‘correct’, but all reasoning had to be explored & justified. This highlighted the fact that the wonderful thing about art is that it can allow free thinking, social interaction & political & mathematical challenge. The way we think is indeed a topic.
This is the start of my journey. Drawing from my past experiences of working in education & the arts, I am starting by collating a questionnaire about the different ways we approach problems. If you are interested in taking part, have a think about your approach so you have time to collate your thoughts & ideas ready for the Summer Discussion Forum Group I am setting up. Data analysis of the follow up questionnaires will fuel what happens next.
Your input is invaluable as I am a general educationalist without a particular specialism. My strengths are being able to oversee & coordinate large projects, balancing complex theories through taking a linear approach, breaking things down to their smallest components & finding common ground. I have advanced skills in critical thinking & can execute high levels of processing to deal with the overseeing of any given project to maximum effect.
The broadness of the topics highlighted above are all linked through the common thread of humanity & human rights & therefore, it is complex & needs facts, not ambiguity. I am interested in teasing out the distractions so my time is fuelled to address the five pillars of my business:
- Productivity
- Adaptability
- Reliability
- Resourcefulness
- Sustainability
Essentially, I am looking, further to the completion of my questionnaires, to team up with a professional linguist, theologian, scientist, artist education & public health officer, with the idea of producing a public health journal later on next year. Promoting a workable leaflet for local schools to use art, music, maths & science as cross-curricular subjects is also another goal. Similarly, I have various products on the market, under the umbrella of the arts & the environment, that will soon be for sale.
