  1. Winter Warmer Concert 2016.

A celebration of some all time winter favourites & some classic/original songs.

The audience gathered in the Methodist Church Hall eager to listen to three musicians raising money for charity. Sylvie-D and Joshua Kohlman, both singers and keyboard players, followed by Faried Osman a guitarist, came onto the stage and the concert began. What a surprise! The programme was a mixture of well known songs, such as Mary’s Boy Child, and other pieces which the singers themselves had composed. Sylvie-D and Joshua Kohlman, composers, keyboard players as well as singers, presented a musical delight; accompanied by Faried Osman on the guitar. The two singers frequently changed places and accompanied each other. The three musicians are very talented and supported each other throughout.

If one is looking for an evening’s entertainment for a special occasion, I can recommend Sylvie-D, Joshua Kohlman and Faried Osman.

  2. Winter Warmer Concert 2016

On Friday 9th December our Christmas season was blessed with an excellent concert that also raised funds for the church’s outreach project, Ruach & Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The newly formed dynamic duo, Gaudete, Sylvie-D & Joshua Kohlmann, with guest guitarist Faried Osman, treated us to a wide range of music. Demonstrating their versatility & creativity they performed a mixture of their own music & classics as solos, duets & all three performing together.

The programme consisted of no fewer than 25 items mainly light hearted & fun. My own favourite was Windmills of your Mind, though I’m sure everyone in the audience found much to enjoy. The music was enhanced with slides setting the mood projected behind the performers & the stage was sumptuously decorated – all contributing to the ambience. All in all a great way to be entertained & raise funds.

If we manage to get a repeat booking for these remarkable performers make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to see them.

Thanks to Sylvie, Joshua & Faried.
